Pledge Codes
Pledge Codes are simple. They are the same as Gift Codes. Each pledge record must have an Appeal Code and a Fund Code. Appeal Codes can then, in turn, be linked to a Campaign to group them together and Fund Codes can, in turn, be linked to Departments.
There is one thing to note... Pledges are the vehicle that Denari uses to drive on-going credit card (CC) and electronic fund (EFT) donations. When Denari sends the CC or EFT information to the merchant account for transaction, it also creates a gift record and that gift record must have a letter body. When you print thank you receipts, it is that letter body that Denari uses at the top of the receipt form.
Denari gets the letter body from the campaign record that is linked to the appeal that is linked to the pledge. Therefore, a pledge MUST have an appeal code, that appeal code MUST be linked to a campaign, and the campaign MUST be linked to a letter body.
