Sponsorship
The Sponsorship filter section relates to the Sponsorship Module, although, since a sponsorship is a pledge, there are some apllications for pledges that are not necessarily sponsorships. Remember that all filters are optional in a name segment.
Expand the Sponsorship section and check the Use Sponsorship Pledge check box.
Pledge Type
Select the type of pledge. If you use this filter, Denari will include only those name record that have a pledge that matches the filter. ONLY those name records that have pledges will be included in the output. This field can be used for any type of pledge, not necessarily a sponsorship pledge. For example, if you want a list of names of people who have pledges of any kind you can use this field.
Refers to the eSponsor check box found in the Sponsored Name Record. The pledge must be linked to a sponsored name that has that box either checked or unchecked depending on your filter selection.
Both the Fund and Appeal Code filters are filtering on the pledge record. You can enter a range of either/or fund codes or appeal codes. Denari will interpret the range either alphabetically or numerically. For example, if you enter 'ABC' in the Low Value field and 'PQR' in the High Value field, you will get names of donors with pledge that have funds that fall alphabetically in that range. (The codes you enter in the fields must be valid codes in your data. The use of 'ABC' here is just an example.) Remember, name segmenter will give you a list of names, not pledges. You are only using the pledge information as a filter to select the list of names for the output.
The remaining fields in this section all refer to the corresponding fields in the Sponsored Name record. If these filters are used, the sponsor or name record must have a sponsoring pledge that is linked to a sponsored name record that meets the criteria selected.
