Reports
There are a wide variety of people who use Denari. Some are detailed data people who want to slice and dice their data. Some simply want to click a button to get the information they want. In the learning process you can think of Denari reports as a progression. If the Quick Reports give you the information you want, you can stop there. If not, you can progress to the Standard Reports. If you can't find what you need there then move to the Segmenters and their related report tools. And finally, Izenda can provide you with almost custom reporting. Each level becomes a little more flexible which brings with it more complication and an increased need for an understanding of how data and reporting works. So it is best to be familiar with all of the types of reports that are available then move to the easiest format to get you what you need.
It is important to know that Denari makes a distinction between Reports and Statements. Generally, Reports are internal documents. They provide information about donors, gifts, pledges, sponsorships, sharathons, missionaries, etc. that are intended for management and staff. Statements are for your donors. You will find things like Thank You Receipts, Pledge Statements, Pledge Acknowledgments, End of Year Tax Statements, etc. in this category. They are intended to inform your donors about their donations and donation history. This section will discuss Reports while Statements can be found in a separate section.
