One of the most difficult things about learning new software is simply finding your way around. You will find that in Denari there is a method to the madness. Information is grouped according to data type. An example of some of the types in fundraising data are names, gifts, pledges, sponsorships, etc. So you’ll find a menu on the left with Names, Gifts/Pledges, Sponsorship, and so on. If you are looking for something related to names you'll head to the Names link. Looking for something pledge related you'll head to the Gifts/Pledges link. One note here, however, and this can be a little confusing but here’s the logic. A pledge belongs to the donor so you'll find the donor's pledge record within that donor’s name record but, things like pledge reports and other pledge related items will be found on the gifts/pledges page.
Clicking the PLUS button will show you a menu that will allow you to quickly add new appeal codes, batches, fund codes, pledges, and names. You will also find the master list of all of your setup records like funds, appeals, campaigns, departments, jurisidictions, letters, and more.
The "Gear" icon button, along with your company name, contains a menu with all of the admin functions for your company. You'll find things like Company Setup, Company Preferences, User Setup, User Defined Field Setup, Assign Supress Receipts, and more.
The Quick Name Search field can be a time saver when finding information about a specific name/donor. Type the person's last name and hit Enter to get a list of all name records related in any way to that last name.
Here you will find a Help link that will take you to a page of training videos. We recommend you start your training with these. They cover most of the features found in Denari and they are the quickest way for you to get the basics.
The Suggestion button on this menu allows you to enter your ideas for improvements to the software. They get logged into the Denari tracking system for the future.
The Support button on this menu is where you will find the Denari tech support department. Log you message here and it will be immediately added the tech support tracking system. See the tech support topic for more information. Tech Support
