There are two types Standard reports, those that produce your reports in a PDF format and those that produce them in a system called Reporting Services.
Notice that some of the reports shown here have an 'RS' next to them. That means that those reports will open in the Reporting Services software on your screen. The other reports shown here, without the 'RS' will go to the Denari In Box that you can view by clicking the icon that looks like an Envelope
at the top of the Denari page.
Both types of reports can be memorized, or set up, so that they will run automatically on a schedule but the set up for each is slightly different.
PDF Reports (Non-RS)
Click on the Reports button on the left, then Gifts, and then Detail Gift Listing. First, move to the bottom of the page and fill in the filters need to produce the report results you want. See
Standard Reports for more information.
One note here: You have two options for a date range as a filter. One allows you to enter hard dates like 1/1/2016 to 12/31/2016 and the other, called a Relative Date range allows you to choose a value like 'This Year'. Relative means that the date range is relative to the day you run the report. So if it is June 5, 2016 and you run this report using 'This Year' as your relative date range, you will get gifts for all of 2016. If it is June 5, 2017, you'll get all gifts for 2017. If you plan to memorize the report you will need to use a Relative Date range rather than the hard dates so that you don't have to constantly be changing dates for the report.
Once you have your filters set at the bottom of the page, move to the top of the page to set up this report to run on your schedule.
As an example, you want to see a list of gifts from this week every Friday. First enter a
Description so you might call this ‘Gifts From This Week’. In the
Frequency field choose Weekly. In the
Distribution field choose ‘File Queue - Email Notification’. In the
Email List field enter email addresses separated by commas. Select a
Registered Emailer. That is someone in your organization that you’ve previously set up to be the emailer. (See the section on
Email Sender for more information.) Enter a note if you want and then check the
Day you want the report, in this case, Friday.
Now instead of clicking the Submit Request button at the top of the page, click the Save as Memorized Report button. You won't see the report but Denari has tucked it away so that it is ready to go. Each Friday, in this example, Denari will run the report and email the results to those on the list. It will be emailed as a link and can be sent to people who may not have access to Denari. So you could, for example, send reports to Board Members. They can simply click the link and the report will open as a PDF on their computer.
You can edit or delete the PDF memorized reports. Click the Reports button then Miscellaneous, then Report Requests. You can click to open a PDF memorized report and either edit the filters or delete the report.
