Customizations

Software is designed to meet the needs of the majority of users in a given industry. The Denari developers have listened carefully to it's users over many years of use and have attempted to design features that meet those needs. Of course everyone is different and the exact needs of all users can be different. Therefore, the developers have left the door open for customization of the software. If you have a specific fundraising need that is not being met by the software you can request a change or new feature. Below is a simple process that you can follow...

 

1. Let tech support know of your need. It is possible that Denari already does what you need and you just don't know it yet. Or, they may have a work around procedure that will serve the need just as well.

 

2. Enter the need as a suggestion. Click the Help button at the top of the page and describe your need there. That gets logged into the suggestion list. There is no guarantee, however, that your suggestion will get done nor is there a guarantee on a time frame. The suggestion list is reviewed periodically and each item is evaluated. Those that are approved for programming are the ones that meet most user's needs. They improve the software generally for the most users.

 

3. Request a customization. If your need is critical to your work and/or you don't want to wait for it to be done as a suggestion you can purchase programming time to have the feature built to your specifications. You can do this by email to sales@denarisoft.com or call 800-352-0312. Someone there will contact you to discuss the specifics of what you want and quote you a price for the work. It is important to understand that you are purchasing a product that you then own. If you require changes to that product or feature latter, there may be a fee involved for that programming work as well. It is important that you think through the change carefully and work with the developers to get it just the way you want.

 

Hopefully a customization isn't necessary. Denari has a significant amount of flexibility in reporting and in it's features and tech support will work with you to try to find a suitable work around if necessary. However, if that is the only solution Denari's programmers will be happy to work with you.
